Where It All Began
In the bustling lanes of Kalan Bazar, Rawalpindi — one of the oldest trading markets of the twin cities — a young entrepreneur named Malik Ahmed opened a cloth and fabric shop in the early 1950s. The shop, known as Malik Cloth House, quickly became a neighbourhood landmark.
Draped bolts of fabric lined the walls from floor to ceiling. Customers came from across Rawalpindi — housewives, tailors, interior decorators — trusting Malik Ahmed's eye for quality and his honest dealings. The business was built on a simple principle: the right fabric at the right price, with the right advice.
Decades before "interior design" became a household phrase in Pakistan, Malik Cloth House was already helping families transform their homes with fine curtain fabrics, upholstery cloth, and furnishing textiles.
Family Legacy
1st Generation
Started Malik Cloth House in the bustling lanes of Kalan Bazar in the early 1950s. Built a neighbourhood landmark on a simple principle: the right fabric, at the right price, with honest advice. His reputation for quality drew customers from across Rawalpindi.
2nd Generation
Carried the family legacy into the capital. Established Malik Interiors in 1992 and opened the Blue Area showroom in 1996 — expanding beyond fabric into full interior solutions: curtains, blinds, sofa upholstery, carpets, and flooring, all supplied and installed in-house.
3rd Generation
Brings the legacy into the digital age while keeping its soul intact. With the same values of quality and craftsmanship instilled by his grandfather, Malik Saad has grown Malik Interiors' reach across Islamabad and Rawalpindi with a skilled installation team and modern showroom.
A New Chapter
Malik Interiors established its flagship showroom at 109 West, Lower Ground, Jinnah Avenue, Blue Area — the commercial spine of Pakistan's capital city — bringing the family's decades of fabric expertise to a new generation of homeowners.
What began as Malik Cloth House in Kalan Bazar, Rawalpindi, evolved into Malik Fabrics, then Malik Interiors, and today operates as Malik Interiors & Fabrics Group — providing complete interior solutions across twin cities, Pakistan, and overseas.
The Blue Area showroom quickly became the go-to destination for homeowners, architects, interior designers, hotels, government institutions, and embassies seeking premium curtains, blinds, upholstery fabrics, carpets, and flooring — with full in-house stitching, fitting, and installation.
